Travertine Terraces at Pammukale, Turkey. As much as everyone wants this to be snow, the white landscape is actually hardened calcium. It is created from water beneath the earth that is heated by volcanic lava, forced to the surface, and cooled in the open air where the calcium in the water adheres to the land (forming the white terraces). So apologies to anyone picturing a polar bear frolicking in the water, but if you do get a chance to go there, you are allowed to swim in the hot springs so I’d say that’s a pretty great substitute! 12”w x 12”d x 6”h.
